2019 Highlights!

2019 was a year of growth for Happy Kids. We’ve always been dreamers, but this year we were able to make some very important dreams a reality. Here are some highlights!
✨Receiving our 501c3 opened so many doors for our organization. It took our fundraising to a new level and allowed us to develop new partnerships while strengthening existing ones!
✨Our boys we’re finally able to move into their own home, a separate space for them to grow and thrive!
✨We secured a transition house in Ghana’s capital that boards a selected number of graduates looking for work and continued education students studying in Accra.
✨We were the winners of the @mementomoriwinery photo challenge and won $50,000!! We are still pinching ourselves with this one!
✨A grant opportunity allowed us to increase our nutrition budget, install new water tanks & get all children and staff tested and vaccinated for Hepatitis B.
✨We released our 2nd Annual Exclusive Happy Kids Wine with @skwinery – the label was designed by one of our boys.
✨Our nursery school is looking better than ever with more space, additional teachers, new tables and chairs, and increased toys and educational materials.
✨ Our first annual holiday party was a great success in South Bay LA, bringing in much needed funds to sustain us in the new year. With the help of some amazing advocates, we were able to bring a whole new audience to our mission.
